休谟哲学在西方哲学史上具有重要的地位,起着承前启后的作用.休谟哲学从对经验主义立场的肯定到建立在经验主义基础上的对理性认识能力的怀疑,这一哲学思想的变化对自近代以来的认识论哲学的怀疑论思想的形成是至关重要的,它开启了康德哲学对理性的重新考察以至整个德国古典哲学的理论历程.同时,休谟的怀疑主义思想对胡塞尔开启的现象学运动,对欧美分析哲学、欧洲大陆的存在主义哲学等都具有深远的影响.

Hume＇s philosophy is the key link which play a important role in the philosophy history in the west. On the basis of Subjective-self of Rene＇ Descartes philosophy, Hume went to the philosophy point that was from the Extrinsicism for the inspect and sense to the Internality among Empiricism analysis and inflexible in beliefs. First, Hume had a affirmation to the empiricism, but, he had put a passitive attention on the intellect which was on the basis of the empiricism in the after. The change in philosophy had summarized the skepticism in the theory of knowledge from the modern times, and that, it had made a re-investigation on Reason by Kant and the theorical road of the whole classic philosophy of Gemany; In the meantime, Hume＇s skepticism would had made the grade impact on the phenomenology campaig by Edmund-Hussel, on the Analytic philosophy in Europe-American, and on the Existentialism philosophy in Europe, too.
