While great success has been achieved in the explorations of the microteaching in the past 20 years in China, the study of the functions of microteaching remains at the level of training. This requires the scholars to research over the application of the theoretical functions in practical teaching. In addition to the functions of improving the student drilling, teaching designing, and teaching evaluation, the writer of this paper adds to the functions in new curricular and teaching reforms.
