This paper analyses the reasons of abolishing the RMB regime of U.S. dollar-pegged exchang rate, expounds that the RMB exchang rate recently can＇t qualtfy the condition of the free floating patton and will not fully peg RMB to a basket of currencies; a public atmoucement of the People＇s Bank of China that China will reform the exchange rate regime by moving into a managed floating exchang rate regime based on market suply and demand with reference to a basket of eurrencie is feasible.
