2005年6月下旬至7月下旬,美国加州大学柏克莱分校的纳尔逊·格拉本(Nelson H.Graburn)教授和厦门大学彭兆荣教授在北京出席学者俱乐部性质的“国际旅游研究院双年会”(2005 Biennial Confrerence of International Academy for the Study of Tourism)后,赴四川、贵州和广西进行了为期20天的调研。借此机会,彭兆荣对格拉本教授进行了专访,内容涉及到中国旅游发展的可持续性,少数民族地区的旅游发展特点及潜在的危机,农业旅游与生态旅游的发展空间,旅游人类学研究中的“真实性”,传统民族志在旅游研究中的范式问题等。
2005年6月下旬至7月下旬,美國加州大學柏剋萊分校的納爾遜·格拉本(Nelson H.Graburn)教授和廈門大學彭兆榮教授在北京齣席學者俱樂部性質的“國際旅遊研究院雙年會”(2005 Biennial Confrerence of International Academy for the Study of Tourism)後,赴四川、貴州和廣西進行瞭為期20天的調研。藉此機會,彭兆榮對格拉本教授進行瞭專訪,內容涉及到中國旅遊髮展的可持續性,少數民族地區的旅遊髮展特點及潛在的危機,農業旅遊與生態旅遊的髮展空間,旅遊人類學研究中的“真實性”,傳統民族誌在旅遊研究中的範式問題等。

Late in June, 2005, Nelson Grabum, professor of the University of California, Berkeley, United States, and professor Zhaorong Peng from Xiamen University attended the 2005 Biennial Conference of International Academy for the Study of Tourism in Beijing. After that, they turned to Sichuan,Guizhou and Guangxi of China for further investigations and researches on tourism, the arduous tour lasting as long as 20 days, which resulted in a contingent interview by Professor Peng to Graburn concerning the sustainability of tourist development in China,the advantages versus potential crises of touristic development in ethnic regions, the developmental possibilities of agrotourism and ecotourism, the issue of "authenticity" in the study of tourism as well as the challenge to the paradigm of conventional ethnography owing to the involvement of anthropological focus on tourism, thus the paper.
