采用理论分析和社会调查相结合的社会学方法，考察社会资本在辽宁省运动员成长过程中的作用。研究表明，社会资本对运动员事业发展具有一定促进作用，其独特的作用方式是：社会资本以运动员的人力资本为基础并在人力资本的基础上发挥作用。

Social capital is a new type of research tool in western sociological field since 1980s. It was mainly through social relation network to obtain various resources. Through using the method of theoretical analysis and social investigation,this paper investigated the role of social capital on athlete＇s cultivation in Liaoning province. The result showed that social capital had certain promotion on athlete career development. The unique method was that social capital played an important role based on human capital.
