Criminal defense is an important and integral part of the system of laws in current China. Its establishment and perfection is an important sign of making the criminal lawsuit procedures in China more scientific and democratic. The system of criminal lawsuits in China was established somewhat later, there are many problems in it. So we should make innovations of the system so as to bring the functions of defense into full play and protect the legal rights and interests of defendants and suspects.
