在社会发展中，人口的增长和发展一直受到经济增长水平和增长方式的直接影响。同时，技术进步通过对经济增长和社会的作用也影响到人口的发展。到现代社会，人口的发展逐渐离不开技术进步的作用，不论是人口生存的粮食问题还是劳动力素质提高、人力资源的优化配置等等，都要受到技术进步和科技发展水平的影响。以江西省为例对人口发展中的技术进步制约和促进两方面的影响作用进行了分析，并提出了合理应对的建议。

Population growth and development have always been directly influenced by economic growth and growing mode in social development while technological advances have affected the trend of population through influencing the society and economic growth. In modem society, progress in science and technology has become a deciding factor that determines the trend of population. Whether the issue of food which is vital to human survival or the improvement of the quality of labor force or the optimal distribution of resources is affected by the development of science and technology. This paper takes Jiangxi Province as an example, analyzes both the restricting and the promoting effect that scientific progress makes on population and puts forward reasonable adviees to handle this issue.
