在日益全球化和充满流动性的世界当中,传统意义上的罗曼蒂克、完整的“家”已经被更加变动和分裂的“家”所代替。对华人移民而言,“祖先的家”、“情感的家”和“功能的家”构成了“家”的三个基本维度。从移民开始迁徙的那一刻起,“家”及其含义就沿着这三个维度不断发生裂变。随着移民进程的持续,裂变也不断加深,从而在移民心中造成了深刻的焦虑和不安全感。为了克服这种焦虑,移民通过对传统社会组织原则和文化传统的创造性借用以及对集体记忆的选择性营造,努力弥合“家”的内部所出现的裂痕,最终在象征的意义上,重构了一个完整的“家”,同时也完成了对于传统的“家”的超越。因此,在全球化的时代,“家”是一个轮回的过程:始于“完整的家”,经过“分裂的家”,最后达致“象征的家”,更确切地说,“象征意义上的完整的家”,从而在旅行的起点找到了终点。
在日益全毬化和充滿流動性的世界噹中,傳統意義上的囉曼蒂剋、完整的“傢”已經被更加變動和分裂的“傢”所代替。對華人移民而言,“祖先的傢”、“情感的傢”和“功能的傢”構成瞭“傢”的三箇基本維度。從移民開始遷徙的那一刻起,“傢”及其含義就沿著這三箇維度不斷髮生裂變。隨著移民進程的持續,裂變也不斷加深,從而在移民心中造成瞭深刻的焦慮和不安全感。為瞭剋服這種焦慮,移民通過對傳統社會組織原則和文化傳統的創造性藉用以及對集體記憶的選擇性營造,努力瀰閤“傢”的內部所齣現的裂痕,最終在象徵的意義上,重構瞭一箇完整的“傢”,同時也完成瞭對于傳統的“傢”的超越。因此,在全毬化的時代,“傢”是一箇輪迴的過程:始于“完整的傢”,經過“分裂的傢”,最後達緻“象徵的傢”,更確切地說,“象徵意義上的完整的傢”,從而在旅行的起點找到瞭終點。

In a more and more globalized and mobilized world, romantic and complete“home” in the traditional sense has been replaced by a more vibrant and split “home”. As for Chinese migrants, “ancestor's home”, “emotional home” and “functional home” have become the three basic dimensionalities of “home”. From the very moment of migrating, “home” and its meaning have been splitting in these three dimensions. As more and more people migrated, splitting was further deepened, which thus caused serious anxiety and unsecured feeling of the migrants. In order to overcome this anxiety, the migrants, by creatively borrowing the organizing principles and traditional culture of traditional society, tried hard to close the internal crack within “home”, which finally reconstructed a complete “home” in a symbolic sense and finished transcending the tradition. Therefore, in this era of globalization, “home” is a transmigrating process. It starts from “complete home”, through “split home”, and ends with “symbolic home”, or, to be more accurate, “complete home in symbolic sense”, which means finding the end from the starting point of the journey.
