Mr. Shayu·Punchog Tsering is a renowned Tibetan scholar in Tibet. He is also a state - level expert. During the more than 70 years of life journey, he has always been pursuing his studies with noble character and climbing the peak of knowledge by the force of an iron will, even though he has undergone much hard experience in his life. Having passed through the development course from the Old to New Tibet, he becomes a man of high academic attainments in history, Buddhist studies, literature and in some other domains. He has written many books. They are not only his outstanding contribution to the development of Tibetan culture, but also valuable treasure of the younger generations. The author interviewed Mr. Shayu·Punchog Tsering about his life, his research findings, and his historiography viewpoints and so on.
