随着知识经济的发展,给我国的高等教育以合理的定位,是教育界关注的问题.笔者在本文中详尽阐明了知识时代的概念及特征,指出了我国高等教育的发展需遵循两个方向:一是完成社会责任,培养高素质人才.二是科研成果向生产转化,为社会经济服务.

Along with the development of knowledge economy, how to orient the high education reason- ably in china is a hot problem which is most concerned about by educators. The author elaborates the definition and the special features. Moreover, he also indicates that there are two directions which the high education must follow :one is fulfilling the responsibilities and cultivating the talented persons of high capability. The other is that the outcomes of research are transformed into production in order to serve the social economy.
