谭峭及其《化书》在中国道教思想史上占有重要地位。本文通过事实阐明五代时谭峭与谭紫霄为同一人，他的著作《化书》不仅是道教的重要经典，也是一部重要的治国方略，提出统治者应用道化、术化、德化、仁化、食化、俭化，使社会向良性发展转化，实现天下太平，构建一个经济上均平、政治上公正、思想上宽容的节俭型和谐社会。

Tan Qiao and his work Hua Shu occupied an important position in ideological history of Taoism. With the facts the article explains that Tan Qiao and Tan Zi-qiao were one person in Five Dynasties,his work Hua Shu was not only an important classics of Taoism, but also a general plan for running a country. It put forward that the ruler should use the transformation of Taoism, skill, virtue, benevolence, food and frugality to make society transfer to good development,to realize peace and tranquility over the world and to construcet a frugal and harmonious society having impartiality in economy,justice in politics,and tolerance in ideology.
