司空图是晚唐重要的文艺理论家。他的文艺理论著述《诗品》及《与李生论诗书》等文论是研究中国唐代诗歌及诗歌理论的经典之作。他提出的不拘一格的作品风格论，重视诗人本身思想修养的创作主体论和辨味外之味的诗歌解读理论是其理论三大组成部分。他的诗歌理论对当代文艺理论研究和文学批评实践具有积极的研究借鉴价值。

SiKong Tu is an important theoretician of literature and art in the later Tang Dynasty. He considered a poet should not be strictly restricted to the literature style, paying more attention to the culture of oneself and thinking much of the comprehension, These are the three main parts of Sikong Tu theory. His poem theory has positive research reference for the present literature theoretical researches arid literature criticism practice.
