The thesis induces some definitions to Connotation ＆Denotation of ＂CE＂ which the scholars both at home and abroad give, and analyses several viewpoints of ＂CE＂ Theory.The author agrees the viewpoint that ＂CE＂ is composed of convention, exhibition and festival and special event.The author argues that festival and special event should be strengthened in the theory and practice of ＂CE＂.
