The process of investigation is detecting, collecting and using information. The theory of investigating information has become more and more important in investigating practice. This paper discusses the theoretical foundation and basic connotation of investigating information,and then it demonstrates its practical value and proposes some suggestions for optimizing the collection of investigating information.
