二十世纪六、七十年代以来出现的大量政治经济研究集中关注经济政策背后的政治活动，本文按学科属性将这类研究归为经济学的政治经济研究，以区别于其他学科如政治学或历史学的政治经济研究，这有助于澄清当前因“新政治经济学”这一笼统概念所产生的认知混淆。本文提出，经济学之所以进行非市场领域的分析，归根结底是为了降低或避免市场失灵，仅从这一点看，经济学的政治经济研究与主流经济学非但不是背道而驰，而是志趣相投。

Since 1960s and 1970s, there have been lots of political- economic studies, which concentrating on political activities behind of economic policies. In this article we classified such studies as political - economic studies in Economics in terms of discipline attribute, aiming to make it differentiate with the political - economic studies in other disciplines, such as politics or history. And the analysis of its academic approach helps to clarify the cognition confusion that gener- ated by the general concept of ＂neo - political economics＂. The reason why economics analyzes outside of the sphere of market is that it wants to find the best way to decrease or avoid market failure. From this aspect, the political - economic studies in economics are not the antagonist of mainstream economics but its coadjutant. In fact, such studies effectively supply a gap of pivotal hypothesis in mainstream economics.
