喜饶尼玛教授是国内外有影响的藏族学者。主要从事近代藏族历史等方面的教学和研究工作以及汉藏文化交流等方面的课题研究。他出版（含合作）学术著作20余部，学术论文90余篇，并多次获得国家和北京市奖项。文章就国内藏学研究的现状和学科建设方面对喜饶尼玛教授进行了采访。

Professor Sherab Nyima is a well-known expert on Tibetan studies at home and abroad. He is mainly engaged in teaching and studying Modern Tibetan history, the Tibetan political system, culture development, human rights, religion, etc. He is also making research on the cultural exchange between Chinese and Tibetan as well as the Ethnic and Religious policies of China.Sherab Nyima has already published many books and more than eighty articles. He has won many prizes, such as the National and Beijing＇s Philosophy and Sociology Prize. In the field of international academic exchange, he has been to many counties and areas, such as Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Britain, France, Morocco, Egypt, Japan, the United States, Taiwan and so on. He has presided and attended many academic conferences at home and abroad.
