This paper summarizes the purposes of ecological migration in Kalpin County of Aksu Prefecture, the causes of poverty, the population growth and the achievements made after the migration, as well as the experiences and lessons drawn from the population transfer. It also proposes some advice and measures to be adopted for solving the urgent problems.
