汉诗英译始于19世纪,迄今已有诸多译本,其中不乏优秀译作,深为英语读者喜之、乐之、好之。这些佳作有一共同特点,即对英诗表现手法的巧妙借鉴。本文以部分中外学者的译文为例,探讨借鉴在汉诗英译中发挥的积极作用。
漢詩英譯始于19世紀,迄今已有諸多譯本,其中不乏優秀譯作,深為英語讀者喜之、樂之、好之。這些佳作有一共同特點,即對英詩錶現手法的巧妙藉鑒。本文以部分中外學者的譯文為例,探討藉鑒在漢詩英譯中髮揮的積極作用。

The English translation of the Chinese classic poems can be traced back to the 19th century. Up to now there have been many versions of translation, some of which are so excellent that they are widely appreciated by the English speaking people. Such versions share a common feature that their translators appropriately borrowed the poetic devices often employed in the English poetry. This paper illustrates the positive functions of the devices in the successful translations.
