This paper analyzes the difficulty of the inventory system' s quantitative optimization and points out that the computer simulation is one of the good methods to resolve this difficulty. It detailedly introduces the specific steps for the software developed, using the Viusal Basic 6 as the platform to accomplish the optimization of the (t ,s ,S) inventory system. It points out that this software is of some application value because of the convenience for users to simulate this system based on the good interacting input and graphic output of this software, the wide application scope, and the simulating results' accordance with the practice.
