成渝经济区作为中国四大经济区之一，也是国家西部大开发战略的重点开发地区，其竞技体育的发展模式将对西部及长江中上游地区产生深远的影响。在深入探讨了改革川渝地区竞技体育后备人才培养模式的必要性基础上，提出了相应的对策及建议，以期加强区域竞技体育整体的吸引力，实现该区域竞技体育的可持续协调发展。

As one of the four most influential economic areas in China, Cheng - Yu Region is also the key area to be explored in Western Development. Its mode of competitive sports development will have a deep effect on western China and Upper and Middle Yangtze River. Chengdu （Cheng） and Chongqing （Yu） are two independent administrative regions, which causes many problems in competitive sports. For example, reserved talents training lacks reasonable and unified layout, sports events are singular comparatively single, and top players are , flowing mechanism of athletes is in shortage. In this case, national unsmooth, source of funds for training is resources are wasted and the effect of resource density can＇ t be realized. The author holds that Cheng - Yu Region should integrate the competitive resources and cultivate sports talents of Cheng- Yu Region so as to improve regional competitive sports strength.
