《新时代汉英大词典》具有时代性、科学性和实用性的特点,受到了国内外专家学者和社会各界的普遍好评。该词典提供的词目的译文绝大部分准确通顺,流畅自然,但个别词目的译文存在误译、硬译,仅有释义而无译名,漏收同义词,正误译夹杂等四个方面的问题。为此,可以结合双语词典词目的翻译原则,对这些不足之处加以修订。
《新時代漢英大詞典》具有時代性、科學性和實用性的特點,受到瞭國內外專傢學者和社會各界的普遍好評。該詞典提供的詞目的譯文絕大部分準確通順,流暢自然,但箇彆詞目的譯文存在誤譯、硬譯,僅有釋義而無譯名,漏收同義詞,正誤譯夾雜等四箇方麵的問題。為此,可以結閤雙語詞典詞目的翻譯原則,對這些不足之處加以脩訂。
《신시대한영대사전》구유시대성、과학성화실용성적특점,수도료국내외전가학자화사회각계적보편호평。해사전제공적사목적역문절대부분준학통순,류창자연,단개별사목적역문존재오역、경역,부유석의이무역명,누수동의사,정오역협잡등사개방면적문제。위차,가이결합쌍어사전사목적번역원칙,대저사불족지처가이수정。
The 2000 edition of New Age Chinese-English Dictionary is well received at home and abroad for its accuracy,practical use and keeping abreast of the times.Most of the translated headwords in the dictionary are faithful and smooth.Regrettably,some leave much to be desired.The main problems run as follows： word-for-word or even wrong translation;absence of accurate translated terms;omission of synonyms;mixture of correct translations with wrong ones.Against the sample headwords and corresponding translations,the author offers his critical comments before coming up with his own reference versions in accordance with the translation principles of headwords.
