联想是隐喻认知的基本实现形式。隐喻的理解能够通过多种联想方式实现。本文以2005—2006年从《纽约时报》上收集的100个隐喻实例为语料，分析了隐喻认知中的联想方式，在此基础上构建了联想方式的分类体系并对所有实例作了归类分析：首先将其分为感性联想和理性联想两大类，然后再将感性联想分为接近联想、类似联想、对比联想等三类，并将理性联想分为因果联想、关系联想、功能联想、范围联想、动态联想等五类。对隐喻认知中联想方式的以上分析将有助于加深对隐喻理解机制和联想心理机制的认识。

Association is a fundamental way to realize metaphorical cognition. The comprehension of metaphors can be achieved by various means of association. This study conducts an analysis of means of association in metaphorical cognition and establishes a classification framework on the basis of the data of 100 metaphors collected from The New York Times from 2005 to 2006. The results show that these metaphors can be classified into two broad categories： display association and referential association. The former can be further divided into 3 types of contiguity, similarity and contrast while the latter into 5 types of causality, relation, function, scope and dynamicity. The above analysis of means of association in metaphorical cognition is expected to promote a better understanding of the mechanism of metaphor comprehension and that of cognitive association.
