In this article,the author makes a study of the ancient Chinese PE influenced by the Confucianism in tenus of the social value emphasized by the ancient PE, the developing limitation of its morals and regulations as well as its developing trend. And such valuable elements as the integration of its sociality and its class nature, the strengthening of its supervision system, the perfection of its legal system and the improvement of individual＇ s cultural quality, etc, It provides the available materials for solving the problems existed in modem PE education and its sustainable development.
