环境友好型社会是联合国提出的一个概念。近年来，世界各国普遍关心人类行为对环境的影响及环境恶化给人类生存造成的负面效应。由于人们逐步认识到环境的恶化在相当程度上是不可逆或很难改善的，环境的保护就提升到了非常重要的地位。环境友好指数的编制从主客观两个方面尝试对北京市城镇环境友好状况进行了测量和评价，得到北京市城镇环境友好情况整体上尚属可接受水平，在环境保护方面也取得了一些成绩，但在政府、企业、民众之间，公众的环保意识还相当差，北京市要达到建成环境友好型社会的目标，需要加大综合治理的力度。

Environment- friendly society is a countries around the world have become concerned concept proposed by the United Nations. In recent years, all about the great pressure resulted from human activities on the environment as well as the negative effects of the environmental＇deterioration to our survival. Having gradually realized the deterioration of environment is irreversible and difficult to improve to a large extent, people find that the protection of environment is on our top agenda. The research of this work focuses on the methods to measure environment -friendly indicators to see how the environment of Beijing urban areas is going. The paper achieves this end by establishing a comprehensive environment -friendly indicator system considering both subjective and objective environment - friendly factors. Finally the paper shows that the environment of Beijing urban areas is acceptable on the whole, and Beijing has also made some achievements in the environmental protection, although the environmental protection awareness of general public is still quite weak compared with the government and businesses department. Thus, it is necessary to intensify the comprehensive management of the environmental protection to construct Beijing to an environment- friendly society.
