金庸小说第三版修改已经完成,学者们各有其说。汤哲声认为,金庸小说既然已经定型成为经典,就不应再随意改动。卢敦基认为,金庸修改小说是他个人权利之内的事,再次修改金庸小说,给作品打开了更大的想象空间。韩云波认为,金庸再次修改小说,体现了他从“流行经典”走向“历史经典”的努力。马睿认为,金庸再次修改小说,并未对武侠文体做出新贡献,这只是一场通俗文学、大众传媒和世俗化社会的互动。

The third revised edition of Jin Yong＇s novels has already been completed, and different scholars hold different viewpoints. Tang Zhesheng believes that since Jin Yong＇s novels have been already recognized as the classics, they should not he modified. Lu Dunji suggests that revising the novels is Jin Yong＇s personal matter, and that the revision offers larger room for imagination. Han Yunbo holds the view that Jin Yong＇s revision of his novels reflected his endeavors in transforming ＂the popular classics＂ to ＂the historical classics＂. Ma Rui thinks that the revision does not make any new contribution to the swordsmen fictional style, and is only an interaction of popular literature, populace media and common custom society.
