Pencil tree （ Euphorbia tirucalli ） is a very important energy plant with comprehensive values of ecology and economy . In this paper, the author introduces its biological characters, uses and the study advances briefly, in order to gives the full affirmation to it in the urban environment construction function and for the medicine value.
