In recent years, the gravelly pile, prefabricated pile and mixed pile are usually used in composite foundation consolidation. In a sense, it is significant how to evaluate the improvement quality such as the depth, strength and the load of the composite foundation. In this paper, the history and principle of the Transient Rayleigh Wave method are introduced and the validity and feasibility of this method in testing the three kinds of composite foundation above are emphasized as well. In addition, combining the traditional static detecting method, the large area can be detected quickly and accurately by using the Transient Rayleigh Wave method .
