This paper is a report of Chinese teaching as well as its related policies, teaching institutions and TCF teachers and textbooks in Vietnam. It discusses the similarities and differences of Chinese teaching in north Vietnam and south Vietnam as well as the development tendency of Chinese teaching in Vietnam. It concludes that the non- government- sponsored Chinese teaching in Vietnam is gaining in momentum with more active international cooperation by the government, schools and training organizations.
