Two simulated enterprises are set up by students who play different roles in the two enterprises. One enterprise is run based upon traditional workflow, and the other based upon concurrent workflow. Customer orders are made by simulating the demands of customers and the supply environment of parts. The response time, cost and quality of the orders are presented and compared for each case. The students learn DFX concepts of concurrent engineering ( CE), steps of implementing CE and skills of co-operation.
