面对城市化、机动化、市场化的多重挑战，城市交通已经成为关系到城市可持续发展的重要问题。通过回顾“新城市主义”代表——TOD理论的发展过程，研究TOD模式与可持续发展的特点，并总结其实践经验；分析TOD模式与城市交通、可持续发展与城市交通之间的关系；提出实施“中国特色”TOD战略引导城市可持续发展应注意的问题。
麵對城市化、機動化、市場化的多重挑戰，城市交通已經成為關繫到城市可持續髮展的重要問題。通過迴顧“新城市主義”代錶——TOD理論的髮展過程，研究TOD模式與可持續髮展的特點，併總結其實踐經驗；分析TOD模式與城市交通、可持續髮展與城市交通之間的關繫；提齣實施“中國特色”TOD戰略引導城市可持續髮展應註意的問題。

Faced with the challenges of urbanization, motorization and marketization, urban transportation has become one of the important problems concerning with urban sustainable development. By reviewing the representative of ＂ New Urbanism＂, namely, transit oriented- development theory, the characteristics of TOD mode and sustainable development are researched in this paper, together with its practical experience. In addition, not only the relationship between TOD mode and urban transportation, but also the relationship between sustainable development and urban transportation are also studied. Finally, noticeable problems are proposed in carrying out TOD strategy with ＂Chinese characteristics＂ to guide urban sustainable development.
