Using the research methods of literature, interviews to experts, mathematical statistics etc. , it made an analysis of the quality of cultivating doctors of Physical Education and sports training subject in Shanghai University of Sport and the important factors related to it. The results show that the quality of the doctors of Physical Education and sports training subject cultivated by Shanghai University of Sport is higher, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects： attaching importance to drawing up training program, strengthening the examination of dissertation proposal, putting forth efforts to promote the implementation of pre-defense system. It also summed up the successful experience of basing the cultivation on high standard, meticulously organizing academic resources and securing satisfactory conduct of doctoral defense and so on.
