在汶川大地震中，我们看到了人性觉醒的可能性，但人性并未由此就挺立（建构）起来了，人性挺立的条件主要有两个：1．人性本善。即人先天必然地具有善根，这是人性得以挺立的内在根据。尊重人的生命和尊严的根据在于人性的善端，中国传统文化对人性本善给予了极大的肯定；2制度保障。这是人性得以挺立的外在根据，出于对人性恶的限制，制度甚至比道德更有效。而制度本身唯有建立在善的理念的基础上才可能真正提升人性，使其向善。所以，人性挺立的最终根据在于人性本善。

재문천대지진중，아문간도료인성각성적가능성，단인성병미유차취정립（건구）기래료，인성정립적조건주요유량개：1．인성본선。즉인선천필연지구유선근，저시인성득이정립적내재근거。존중인적생명화존엄적근거재우인성적선단，중국전통문화대인성본선급여료겁대적긍정；2제도보장。저시인성득이정립적외재근거，출우대인성악적한제，제도심지비도덕경유효。이제도본신유유건립재선적이념적기출상재가능진정제승인성，사기향선。소이，인성정립적최종근거재우인성본선。
The Wenchuan Earthquake has made us see the possibility of awakening of humanity, but this is not the standing （construction） of humanity. The standing of humanity has two conditions： 1. The essence of humanity is goodness. That is, men naturally share the root of goodness, and it is the intrinsic basis for humanity＇ standing. The basis for respecting life and dignity is goodness, which was affirmed by Chinese traditional culture. 2. It is guaranteed by systems. This is the external basis for humanity＇ standing. Systems are always more effective than morals to restrict the evil of humanity. And only when the systems are constructed on the basis of goodness, it could really promote the humanity. So, the ultimate basis of humanity＇ standing is goodness.
