自古希腊时期亚里斯多德提出博雅教育问题起,博雅教育的内涵就随着时代的发展而不断被赋予新内涵。博雅教育旨在通过性格的培养来使学生获得比较完善的理性和健康的情感,开发主体自我实现的潜在可能。目前,大学生道德底线下滑对大学教育提出了挑战,科技知识爆炸,知识更新加快,极端专业教育的弊病,亟待矫正。教育专家和学者呼吁在低年级大学生中开展博雅教育,整合基础教育和专业教育,培养全面发展的人。从中学迈入大学的新生,正处于人生的“第二次断乳期”,是其“精神成人”的关键时期。大学新生始业教育与博雅教育具有“精神成人”、“心智训练”的内在一致性。这就需要加强理想信念教育,设置核心课程,强化校园文化熏陶,使学生尽快融入博雅文化氛围,从而引导学生“学会生活,学会学习,学会做事。学会发展”。

Since Aristotle brought forward liberal education in ancient Greece period, its content has been given new connotation with the development of the times. Liberal education aims to make students have comparative perfect rationality and healthy feelings and develop potential possibility of one's self - realization. Nowadays, college students'moral baseline has glided to challenge college education. Technology knowledge explodes and knowledge renovation accelerates. Exceeding professional education malady needs correcting, ect. Education scholars and experts increasingly appeal for the liberal education in lower grade students, in- tegrating elementary education and professional education to develop all -round students. New students from middle school to u- niversity are regarded as in "second weaning stage" by education scholars and experts. And they are in important period to train " Spirit Adult". New students'beginning education on campus and liberal education has internal consistence in the "Spirit Adult" and "Mentality Training". Therefore, university needs to strengthen dream and belief education, set up core curriculum, and in- tensify campus culture in order to make students melt into liberal culture atmosphere. In this way, students can be guided to " learn to live, learn to study, learn to work, and learn to develop".
