从房价收入比看，目前上海的房价处于高位，这对有刚性需求的中等收入家庭形成了巨大的经济压力。文章认为：大力提倡中等收入家庭通过贷款方式来购买商品房隐含着不小的风险，特别是对于勉强达到中等收入水平的家庭而言。政府提出的廉租房和经济适用房方案目前只适用于保障低收入家庭，中等收入家庭没有纳入保障范围。解决中等收入家庭的住房需要，限价房开发模式是合适的解决途径之一。
