海洋型冰川所在山地气候水热组合状况最佳，自然旅游资源类型多，生物多样性丰富，可进入性强，离客源市场较近，许多冰川资源现已被开发为特色旅游产品。然而，景区频繁的人类活动，势必会造成冰川区生态环境破坏，从而殃及冰川的稳定性。目前，全球变暖，人类活动加剧，世界大部分山地冰川都因气候变暖而消退，特别是海洋型冰川，由于其冰温较高，运动速度较快，对气候变暖反应更为敏感，退缩幅度更大。目前，如何依托已开发景区先进经验科学地保护与开发现代冰川和古冰川遗迹旅游资源，促使冰川区区域旅游可持续发展已经成为当前冰川旅游开发者、研究者和经营管理者所思考的重要议题。

The typical temperate-glacier is best in terms of hydro-thermal combination with a mountain climate and can offer various kinds of nature tourism because of its rich bio-diversity and easy access. Though many glacier resources have already been developed as tourism attractions, the frequent interference of human activities will cause some eco-damages to these, glaciers and their stability. At present, the global warming process has reduced the sizes of most mountain glaciers, especially temperate glaciers. Thus, the glacier-tourism operators, the researchers and managers should carry out a scientific development of the glacier-tourism and maintain its sustainable development by learning from the advanced management of other developed areas.
