中国在追求现代化的过程中，从一开始就遇到了文化普遍性与文化特殊性之间的矛盾冲突。这种矛盾冲突表现为全球化的体验与本土化的抗争、同质化的隐忧与文化安全意识的觉醒、文化结构的等级化与去中心化、文化价值的蔓延与冲突的普遍化等形式。

In the process of its modernization, China has been in the conflict between cultural universality and cultural par ticularity ever since the very beginning. The conflict takes the following forms of expression; the resistance of globalization a gainst localization, the hidden worry about assimilation and the wakening of consciousness of cultural safety, the ranking of cul tural structure and decentralization, the widespread of cultural values and the universality of the conflict.
