文章从投入产出角度出发，结合可持续发展的指标，阐述了用数据包络分析方法评价区域可持续发展能力的基本思路和步骤。以四川省的统计数据为例，对其可持续发展能力进行评价分析，提出了相应的政策建议。区域可持续发展能力与提高人力、物力、资源的利用率及组合优化度相关，同时协调与环境的关系、发展支柱产业、调整经济结构也是可持续发展的关键。

From the perspective of input-output analysis, this article elaborates the basic ideas and steps through which we applies the method of Data Envelopment Analysis （DEA） to evaluating capability of regional sustainable development. To take Sichuan Province＇s statistics as an example, its capability of this kind is analyzed and evaluated comprehensively and some relevant policy suggestions are proposed. In conclusion, the capability concerns the utility and the combinatorial optimization between manpower, material and resource; advancing the recycling economy for sustainable development needs harmonizing the relationship between economic development and environment protection effectively.
