石油短缺、生态恶化迫使人们寻求清洁替代能源。我国城市人口密度大,而天然气具有替代石油的资源潜力,这决定了我国推广天然气汽车的必要性和现实性。经过10年的试点,我国天然气汽车产业已具备诸多有利条件,但总体规模过小,尚处于发展的初步阶段。今后应重点解决好天然气资源利用、天然气汽车产业基础设施建设和天然气汽车关键技术等制约我国天然气汽车产业发展的主要问题。

Petroleum shortage, ecological environment getting worse have forced automobiles to explore the clean alternate energy source. The city population density is very big in our country, and the natural gas has the potential of replacing the petroleum resource, both of which decide it is necessary and feasible for our country to extend the NGV （natural gas vehicle）. After launching a pilot project for 10 years, there are many advantages for our country＇s NGV industry. However, the total scale is too small, and the developing is even still in the first stage.In the future we should concentrate on how to make use of natural gas resource, the infrastructure construction of NGV industry and the key technology of NGV etc.. And they＇re also the primal problems that restrict our country＇s NGV industry development.
