区域创新体系是一种具有区域特色的多主体、多机制、多空间层次的复杂系统,其空间结构是以产业集群为基本节点的多重空间组织网络。武汉城市圈的创新资源总量丰富,但空间组织路径不畅、网络节点关联松散,降低了区域创新资源的创新绩效。区域创新体系空间构架的参考路径之一是构建基于市场联系的产业集群网络。根据武汉城市圈创新资源的特点及产业基础,提出了构建基于产业发展的武汉城市圈创新体系的基本思路。

Regional innovation is sophisticated spatial system in which multi-bodies, dynamic mechanism and multi-spatial-levels exist. Its spatial structure is spatial organizing network consist of many basic nodes called as industrial clusters. Although Wuhan urban cluster boasts of abundant innovative resource, the linkages among the nodes are spatial loose and the resource mobility is slow. Thus the great ＂gap＂ appears between the core and the periphery in regional innovation capacity. One approach of the improvement in the spatial structure is to build up networks based on industrial clusters. The regional innovation system of Wuhan urban cluster based on industrial development should be put forward according to the characteristics of its innovation resources and industrial foundation.
