王夫之对竟陵派进行了最严厉的批判，对他们几乎是全面否定。批判他们直承七子派的王、李，而不是公安派；标举性灵，而实际上根本不是性灵；批评竟陵派的诗学主张“幽情单绪”，并认为他们的诗是“亡国之音”。王夫之厉批、痛诋竟陵派与其宣泄亡国耻辱和力挽大雅的诗学传统取向有关。
王伕之對竟陵派進行瞭最嚴厲的批判，對他們幾乎是全麵否定。批判他們直承七子派的王、李，而不是公安派；標舉性靈，而實際上根本不是性靈；批評竟陵派的詩學主張“幽情單緒”，併認為他們的詩是“亡國之音”。王伕之厲批、痛詆竟陵派與其宣洩亡國恥辱和力輓大雅的詩學傳統取嚮有關。
왕부지대경릉파진행료최엄려적비판，대타문궤호시전면부정。비판타문직승칠자파적왕、리，이불시공안파；표거성령，이실제상근본불시성령；비평경릉파적시학주장“유정단서”，병인위타문적시시“망국지음”。왕부지려비、통저경릉파여기선설망국치욕화력만대아적시학전통취향유관。
Wang Fuzhi made sharp comments on the Jingling school and almost disagree with them. He commented that they inherited the Seven-scholar School but not the Gong＇an school. He commented that they asserted natural inspiration; in faet they were not natural inspiration at all. He also criticized their ＂exquisite feeling＂ poetry opinion and thought they were the sign of nation＇s subversion. These remarks are related with Wang Fuzhi＇s playing out shame of nation＇s subversion and saving his elegance poetry tradition.
