年青编辑作为期刊社的新生力量，是期刊社的未来和希望，其素质的高低决定了期刊社的兴衰，因此，提高年青编辑综合素质，使其早日成为复合型人才是期刊社长盛不衰的重要保证，这也是期刊社持续发展的时代要求和战略选择。要提高年青编辑的综合素质，使其早日成才，除年青编辑本人勤恳敬业、不断学习、开拓创新外，期刊社应根据实际情况，建立切实可行的培养机制，采取行之有效的措施，如建立良好的培养机制、科学的激励机制、继续教育培训机制、竞争-淘汰机制、内部岗位轮换制等，给他们营造一个良好的成才环境。
