对比近现代中西方科技的发展过程，可以发现我国没有像西方先发展国家那样经历过科技理性对人文环境的洗礼。新中国成立后，科学技术长期被动地服从于政治体系，社会主义市场经济建设以来，政府推动科技与经济结合，产生了许多负面影响。究其原因是中国科技系统中缺乏文化动力，限制了科技系统的政治和经济功能，因此我国当前的社会发展需要积极推动科技与文化的良性互动。
대비근현대중서방과기적발전과정，가이발현아국몰유상서방선발전국가나양경력과과기이성대인문배경적세례。신중국성립후，과학기술장기피동지복종우정치체계，사회주의시장경제건설이래，정부추동과기여경제결합，산생료허다부면영향。구기원인시중국과기계통중결핍문화동력，한제료과기계통적정치화경제공능，인차아국당전적사회발전수요적겁추동과기여문화적량성호동。
Compared with the process of improvement of science and technology of the western countries, we can discover that Chinese culture failed to be reformed by the reason of science and technology like the western developed countries. After new China was established, science and technology was passively subordinated to political system. Since socialism market economy established, Chinese government combined technology with economy, but many passive effects appeared. The reasons are that Chinese technological system lack cultural power and it fail to well fulfill its own political and economical function. Thus, development of Chinese contemporary society needs promoting positive interaction of science and technology and the culture.
