太平洋战争期间，尽管美英两国结成同盟抗击日本的侵略，但是两国仍然追逐帝国主义目的。从划分作战区域来看，美英的矛盾十分尖锐，各自顾及战时和战后利益。美英加入国际反法西斯统一战线，为战争胜利做出了无可取代的重大贡献，其宗旨仍然是维护、争夺区域霸权和世界霸权。把握这一历史线索，才能理解二战中错综复杂的矛盾及迂回曲折的进程，才能理解二战后形成的世界政治格局。

During the Pacific War, although the U.S. and UK allied to fight against Japanese invasion, yet both of them still pursued their leading position. From division of war zones perspective, there was sharp contradiction between them. Both countries concerned more about their own benefits after war, and both made great contributions to the victory of World War Ⅱ, but their purpose is to protect their hegemony in the world, which helps us better understand the complicated contradictions in the Second World War and political pattern after the war.
