“专业”是高等教育的一个基本概念,专业性是高等教育的本质属性。中国高等教育在全力推进素质教育的今天,必须明确其专业性这一基本规定,强化人才培养应以造就“专业人才”为时代使命,坚持高等教育的专业性是推动大学素质教育走向深入的关键。高校应确立高等教育专业理念,在专业设置方面应以社会专门职业谱系为参照系,积极推进产学合作,建立有利于专业人才成长的质量监控体系,着重培养学生自主意识和专业发展能力。

"Profession" is a basic concept of higher education, and the professionalization is the essential characteristic of higher education. During the course of promoting quality-oriented education in Chinese higher education, we should definite the basic regulation of professionalization, and reinforce the era mission of cultivating talents to be "professional talents". To insist on the professionalization of higher education is the key to promoting the in-depth development of quality-oriented education in universities. University should establish the idea of higher education profession through taking social special vocational pedigree as reference in specialty setup, promote the integration of production and learning, and establish the quality adjustment system in favor of the development of professional talents and pay attention to the cultivation of students' self-determination awareness and professional development ability.
