日常生活题材在当代文学史上的命运一波三折。它曾经被作为无价值的低级趣味题材受到长期的排斥，在新时期文艺创作中则被看作是一个揭示更有意义生活的“入口”。1980年代末期以后，该题材获得了充分的价值认可。这一价值变迁既与政治因素的进退有关，又是60年社会生活主题变奏的结果。

There are a lot of twists and turns in the fate of the everyday-life theme in the history of contemporary literature ： it had long been dismissed as the stuff of triviality and low taste ; in the New Time Literature, it was regarded as an ＂access＂ to a more meaningful life; in the late 1980s, the value of this theme received a complete acknowledgement. The changes in its value not only vary with the shifts in the effect of politics on the literature but also result from the changes in the theme of the life over the past 60 years.
