谢灵运在山水诗的创作中刻意锤炼词句,力求“巧似”,山水景物描写努力追摹自然之真、巧夺造化之妙,以至于有些诗句达到了“自然”之境界。一言以蔽之:千锤百炼,力求“巧似”,“巧似”之极,便是“自然”。

사령운재산수시적창작중각의추련사구,력구“교사”,산수경물묘사노력추모자연지진、교탈조화지묘,이지우유사시구체도료“자연”지경계。일언이폐지:천추백련,력구“교사”,“교사”지겁,편시“자연”。
XIE Ling -yun always elaborately polished words and phrases in creation, trying his best to achieve "fight like". The goal of his landscape depiction was to seek and depict the vividness of nature, and to show the subtlety of it so much so that some lines reached the "natural extent". To sum up, after being polished again and again, XIE' s description became "right like", the extreme of which would be natural.
