孟连县“7·19”事件是一起严重的涉法事件，从行政法治的角度反思这一事件具有十分重要的现实意义。它警示政府转变职能、科学合法决策、依法正确处理人民内部矛盾，直接反映政府依法行政水平，决定各项事业成败，事关经济发展、社会和谐大局。建议加强法制宣传教育，提高公务员依法行政意识和能力，加强执法监督，纠正违法行为。
