在中国戏曲文化传统由近代向现代的转型进程中,齐如山从戏曲本体和艺术实践出发,通过半个世纪的戏曲研究历程,逐步廓清了中国戏曲改良的走向脉络,最终形成了更贴近中国戏曲艺术本质的中西戏剧融汇论。

On the transformation of the traditional opera from recent time to modern times, Qi Ru-shan formed his merging theory of both the Chinese and Western dramas from starting opera itself and artistic practice in the research over half century, and made clear about the trend of the reformation of Chinese plays.
