马端临《文献通考》虽非专论《诗经》，但在《诗经》研究上独树一帜，不为时代风气所左右。马端，临认为《诗序》的作者，既非孔子、子夏，亦非卫宏、国史，盖非一人之言。《诗序》的出现乃是或国史采录，或讲师传授的结果。在尊序废序问题上，马端临力主尊序，反对欧阳修、朱熹以来废序的做法，认为《诗序》对于《诗经》来说，不可或缺。
마단림《문헌통고》수비전론《시경》，단재《시경》연구상독수일치，불위시대풍기소좌우。마단，림인위《시서》적작자，기비공자、자하，역비위굉、국사，개비일인지언。《시서》적출현내시혹국사채록，혹강사전수적결과。재존서폐서문제상，마단림력주존서，반대구양수、주희이래폐서적주법，인위《시서》대우《시경》래설，불가혹결。
Ma Duanlin＇s Wenxiantongkao is not a book features and is not influenced by the style of that time about the Book of Songs, but his study on it has its own Ma Duanlin believed that the author of the Rreface to the Book of Songs is not one person, such as Kongzi, Zixia, Weihong, or a historian.
