采用文献法、实地调查、访谈法等，就农民体育健身工程的效应对福建省9个设区市35县（区、市）59个乡镇72个行政村进行了调查研究。调查表明：农民体育健身工程得到广大农民的认同；一定程度上美化了村居环境；为村委会广泛联系群众和村民之间形成良好的人际关系构建了平台；为农民的文化生活方式的改善提供了重要条件；基本满足了村民体育活动的需求。

The paper adopts documentary approach, field investigation, interview approach and the kind to carry out an investigation on the effect of peasants＇ fitness project in 72 administrative villages, 59 towns, 35 counties and 9 cities of Fujian province. The result of the survey is as follows： the peasants＇ PE health project is widely identified by the majority of peasants. It beautifies the living surroundings of the rural residential areas. It constructs a platform for the village committee to contact the masses and for the villagers to develop a good inter- relationship. It provides a very important condition to better peasants＇ cultural life style. It practically satisfies the demand of peasants＇ sports activities. Founding a propaganda system, enhancing supervision, reinforcing the detailed approaches and completing measures of ＂doing what is suited to the place and guiding according to different classification＂, strengthening rural sports organization and the construction of a core team can ensure a continuous development of peasants＇ fitness project under the new country construction.
